Latvenergo Ordered 10 CHINT Power Transformers - Quick delivery was guaranteed
As part of its goal to modernize Latvia’s power grid and adapt to the changing needs of the electricity market, Latvenergo selected the CHINT power transformers last year. The first units are already installed.

The largest energy company in the Baltics, Latvenergo, ordered CHINT power transformers for 10 sites at the end of 2024. The first power transformers have already been installed and commissioned, and the rest will be installed in a couple of months.
Serving around 900,000 electricity customers, Latvenergo is the largest electricity producer in the Baltics, generating 27 percent of the region’s electricity.
Over the past ten years, Latvenergo has heavily invested in renewable energy and the modernization of the electricity grid, including in recent years. The company is particularly focused on significantly increasing solar and wind power capacity.
For example, in 2024, Latvenergo’s investments exceeded €530 million, with about two-thirds of that amount allocated to renewable energy. Renewable energy accounts for approximately 66 percent of the company’s electricity production. Latvenergo’s revenue in 2024 was around €1.7 billion.
